It hurts me more than you…

Sally6

I can hear my momma saying “it hurts me more than you”.  I remember back all those years growing up and my momma telling me “it hurts me more than you”.

I am reminded of this as I dropped my child off at his “first official middle school” football practice.  The hope in his eyes is all a parent can ask for.  However; I know there is a huge possibility that P may not play in a game this year at all.  We are passed the point of every child plays and entering the “it’s all about the WIN” phase.  Yes, I know that’s life and as my LOVELY sister (Tissy) – would say “put your big girl panties on and deal with it”. I will deal with it but first I will cry and kick and scream and then cry some more.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to smile, wave and KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT.

Carry on…..

 Cheers,
